Position Overview

Kalberer Construction is a dynamic and expanding hardscape firm seeking dedicated and skilled stone masons who possess a creative touch to enhance our workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Install Foreman with various tasks on-site as directed.
  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
    • Assessing the necessary tools and materials for daily assignments and preparing the truck for the day.
    • Transporting materials and equipment between the truck and job site.
    • Installing and shaping pavers or stone in accordance with design plans or project specifications.
    • Operating machinery and, when necessary, manually excavating areas to prepare the site.
    • Utilizing machinery and power tools for the placement and shaping of pavers and stone.
    • Mixing concrete or grout as required for specific projects.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic math skills without reliance on calculators or paper.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
  • Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards hard work.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in stone masonry.
  • Possession of a SC Mason license through SC LLR or ICPI/CMHA Certification.
  • Capability to visualize and execute aesthetic designs in construction.
  • Experience in operating machinery.
  • Familiarity with tools for cutting, shaping, and binding stone.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
