Environmental Engineer EIT

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer EIT to join our team at Stantec. As an Environmental Engineer EIT, you will be responsible for providing engineering support for projects involving stream restoration, ecosystem restoration, floodplain studies, permitting, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide engineering support for projects involving stream restoration, ecosystem restoration, floodplain studies, permitting, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater management.
- Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
- Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer, including field surveying, geomorphic surveys, construction oversight, etc.
- Perform basic calculations to analyze and design environmental system components using specialty software packages such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, RIVERMorph, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, ArcGIS, etc.
- Prepare design documents, permit packages, work plans, reports, tables, and figures.
- Assist with development of erosion and sediment control plans, and associated post-construction stormwater management plans.
- Assist in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental, Agricultural, or Civil Engineering with a focus on ecological engineering and/or geomorphology preferred.
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience.
- Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) accreditation is preferred, but not required.
- Experience using HEC-RAS, and AutoCAD a plus.
- A competitive salary range of $63,300 - $88,600.
