We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Professional to join our Med Surg team at Tenet-AZ Region in Tucson, Arizona.

Job Summary
  • The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, and carrying out physician and nursing orders. Additionally, the RN will assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Gather and analyze data about patients, considering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
  • Problem Identification: Use clinical judgment to identify patient responses to health conditions or needs.
  • Planning and Outcomes: Set measurable and achievable goals in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Implementation: Provide nursing care according to care plans, ensuring continuity of care during hospitalization and preparation for discharge.
  • Evaluation: Continuously evaluate patient status and the effectiveness of nursing care, modifying care plans as needed.
  • Care Coordination: Initiate actions to manage and correct the sequence, timing, and/or effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following education, license/certification, and experience:

  • Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed within 30 days.
  • Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
  • Certification Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
  • Work Experience: None required.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
