Job Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties. You will perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This is a full-time days position.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties.
• Perform technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Function as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
• Assume additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serve as a resource.
• Function on a more global level and be more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.
• Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required. In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.
• Current GA LPN License if applicable.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required.
• BLS certification required.
