Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Cardiac Monitor Specialist, you will be responsible for providing continuous surveillance of electronic monitors for patients in a centralized telemetry monitoring station.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing area of San Antonio. Our hospital offers specialized care including orthopedic and surgical services, ICU, women's services, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, weight loss institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms
  • Detect and report abnormal rhythms and changes in patient condition
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • EKG/arrhythmia interpretation background highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • 6 months to a year experience preferred
  • Rhythm Interpretation course taken preferred
