About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Absolute Staffers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for conducting routine radiologic procedures, transmitting and retrieving X-ray images and reports electronically, and scanning reports into patients' medical records. You will also receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from electronic medical records and schedule exams accordingly.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by medical staff for inmates at the institution
  • Transmit, retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically, and scan reports into patients' Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR)
  • Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures
  • Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs
  • Work with an inmate population from various cultural, racial, religious, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Evaluate radiographic imaging for pathological abnormalities
  • Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain proper quality diagnostic exams
  • Notify Radiologist or referring Physician of preliminary abnormalities seen during exams
  • Coordinate transfer of patient radiologic records for continuity of care
  • Act as liaison between radiologist and medical staff
  • Develop working knowledge of local medical protocols
  • Wear outer protective clothing and follow Center for Disease Control universal precautions
  • Function in other duties commensurate with a Radiology Technician

Requirements:

  • Fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed by the state of Arizona
  • At least three or more years of experience
  • Certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working Monday through Friday, normally providing 1 (6) hour sessions once per week. Work hours will be between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. All duties must be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Dental Assistant Services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations.
