Cardiac Cath Lab Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiography and peripheral angiography.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including angiographic systems and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
  • Collect and analyze data from cardiac catheterization procedures to assist physicians in making informed treatment decisions.
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patients and their families are informed and comfortable throughout the procedure.
  • Collaborate with the Cath Lab team to ensure smooth and efficient procedure workflow.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years of full-time invasive cardiovascular technology experience or equivalent.
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist) certification from CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
