Key Responsibilities:- Deliver compassionate care to all boarding and hospitalized animals.
- Conduct regular inspections of kennel areas, monitoring pets for any signs of distress or unusual behavior.
- Identify emergency situations and promptly seek assistance from veterinary staff.
- Accurately document any irregularities in eating, weight, or elimination patterns.
- Provide food and water to animals based on established schedules and specific dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness by disinfecting cages, runs, and outdoor areas as required.
- Oversee the cleanliness of litter boxes and ensure the sanitation of all pet facilities.
- Manage laundry operations for hospital linens and pet bedding.
- Administer baths to pets as needed, including medicated treatments when necessary.
- Supervise animals during outdoor activities to ensure their safety.
- Assist in the check-in and check-out process for boarding pets, ensuring all necessary information is recorded.
- Prepare pets for medical treatments by transporting them to the appropriate areas.
- Collect samples as directed by veterinary professionals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including common areas and storage spaces.
- Engage with clients, providing information about services and addressing any inquiries.
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings to stay updated on protocols and procedures.
- A genuine love for animals and a positive demeanor.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in animal care or a willingness to learn proper handling techniques.
- Familiarity with veterinary software is a plus.
- Capability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods.
