The Medical-Surgical RN will provide comprehensive patient care in a medical-surgical environment. This role involves:
- Conducting assessments and monitoring the physical and emotional needs of patients.
- Administering medications, including intravenous therapies and blood products.
- Assisting with diagnostic evaluations and procedures.
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs.
- Documenting patient care accurately in medical records.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care strategies.
- Educating patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment within the unit.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A valid RN license.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical-Surgical nursing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- The ability to perform well under pressure in high-stress situations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
The Medical-Surgical RN is a vital component of the healthcare team, playing a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of patients. This position is contracted and offers travel opportunities.
