Primary Duties: The Senior Financial Analyst is tasked with delivering comprehensive accounting and analytical support, overseeing all facets of monthly financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate journal entries and supporting schedules for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Supervise accounts payable operations, including all aspects of cash management and disbursements (ACH, wire transfers, and checks).
- Manage CURise reporting and consolidation processes.
- Support accounts receivable functions, including billing, invoicing, and cash receipts, adhering to ASC606 Maxio standards.
- Conduct account reconciliations for significant accounts and perform periodic analyses to ensure accurate and timely transaction bookings.
- Investigate discrepancies in key account balances and provide explanations for variances between actuals and forecasts to management.
- Oversee ongoing ASC842 entries and lease management.
- Compile the financial section of the quarterly board report, which includes monthly financial statements.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
- Act as a backup for the annual patronage dividend calculation, disbursement, and 1099 processes.
- Collaborate with external auditors on routine transactions and assist in preparing schedules for the annual audit.
- Deliver ad hoc analyses, reports, and other projects as required.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, document new policies and procedures, and contribute to the development of robust internal controls.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
Performance Metrics:
- Timely preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Exceptional support to the finance department.
- Prompt and professional responses to all inquiries.
- Accurate completion of projects and assignments within set deadlines.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from an accredited institution, with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. Alternatively, a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least eight (8) years of experience in the field.
