About the Role:

The 3 South General Medicine Unit at Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital is seeking a dedicated and caring caregiver to provide general medical surgical care to adult and geriatric patients. As a member of our team, you will deliver high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex medical needs
  • Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to promote patient recovery and well-being
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and document patient progress
  • Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and disease management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes

Necessary Qualifications:

  • RN licensure in the state of Ohio
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
  • At least one year of experience in acute care nursing, preferably in a general medicine or surgical unit

Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting of patients and equipment
  • Requires normal range corrected vision and hearing
  • May be exposed to communicable diseases and body fluids
