About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist - Developmental Disabilities to join our team at the State of Idaho. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in clinical assessment, rehabilitation, and crisis intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify client and family needs
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans to address risk factors and promote client well-being
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients and families in need
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Provide forensic services, including court-ordered evaluations
  • Coordinate services with other providers and community organizations
  • Provide education and support to clients, families, and community members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A license in one of the following: Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of court procedures and practices
  • Good knowledge of mental health and developmental disability social services/support services
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, applicants with the following qualifications may be given preference:

  • Experience working in correctional, hospital, institutional, and community-based settings
  • Knowledge of available resources and services for individuals with developmental disabilities
