Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Estimating Professional to join our team at Primoris Services Corporation. As an Estimator Specialist, you will be responsible for providing accurate takeoffs for bidding purposes and coordinating the bid solicitation process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate estimates from sources such as drawings, KMZ files, and other materials.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and other materials issued during a bid.
  • Assist in preparing subcontractor bid packages and review competitive bids with senior management.
  • Contact subcontractors by phone and email to confirm their understanding of the scope of work and upcoming bid dates.
  • Prepare and submit RFIs as required.
  • Coordinate the bid solicitation process and assist project managers on bid follow-ups when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as an Estimator Specialist, you will need to possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and plan work activities effectively.

Key Requirements:

  • Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Previous experience in Gas Transmission Estimating is preferred.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers.
