Position Summary:
This role involves leading and participating in the design and development of advanced on-board information system software engineering projects, ensuring that our products deliver exceptional performance, reliability, and quality.
Become a key member of the Core Information Software team, where you will work on developing telematics, display systems, and network management solutions for Caterpillar machinery and engines. This team is responsible for creating operating systems, core software, applications, and data transfer frameworks that will be integral to our product lines for years to come.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize technology to gather data from our machinery and engines, converting it into valuable insights that empower customers to make informed decisions.
- Design, develop, configure, and test high-quality, secure software as part of a collaborative team, employing modern technologies and methodologies such as Agile, C, C++, Rust, and embedded Linux.
- Work closely with clients to define product specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and oversee the design and development of complex software engineering projects.
- Lead the development team by coordinating efforts across various engineering departments and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
- Evaluate and resolve design challenges, leveraging technical expertise to guide the problem resolution process.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in the field, preparing innovative design concepts that contribute to our competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Desired Skills:
