We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Loyola University Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse on our 7SW Surgical Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population, including trauma, general surgery, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, and medicine patients.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the physician.
- Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift report to maintain patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in WIND (What is needed for discharge) rounds to provide interdisciplinary planning for patient discharge.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
- BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association.
- Illinois Board of Nursing license.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
