Optum, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in the Tri-State region. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting blood and other specimens from patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect blood and other specimens from adult and pediatric patients using various techniques
- Identify and label specimens correctly
- Instruct patients on urine and stool collection procedures
- Enter accessioning data into the computer
- Prepare specimens for send-out testing
- Inventory supplies and prepare phlebotomy stations
- Attend required meetings and participate in professional growth and development
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (additional education may be substituted for experience)
- Certification from an accredited phlebotomy diploma program (preferred)
