Valuation Expert

Cohen & Company is seeking a highly skilled Valuation Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Valuation & Litigation Support Services team, you will be responsible for conducting business valuations and portfolio valuations, as well as reviewing valuations in support of audit teams.

• Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, applying conceptual thinking and analytical skills to drive business valuations and portfolio valuations.
• Perform in-depth financial and valuation analysis and modeling, communicating effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, bringing insight and offering solutions to complex problems.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices in industry analysis and market data, sharing knowledge with the team and clients to improve decision-making.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, participating in client meetings and compiling supporting documentation and final reports.
• Continuously advance technical knowledge and serve as a technical expert and mentor in the valuation space to staff and seniors.

• 4+ years of valuation experience, with a Bachelor's degree required.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or other valuation industry credentials strongly preferred.
• Ability to easily transition between projects and engagements, with a team player mentality.
• Desire for continuous learning and entrepreneurial spirit.
