Job Title: Materials Manager

Specified Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to oversee and optimize the materials control process, with a particular emphasis on Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient supply chain operations, managing inventory levels, and implementing strategic initiatives to support company growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement SIOP Strategies: Create and execute Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) strategies to optimize inventory levels, production schedules, and customer service levels.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to align demand forecasts with production capacity and inventory targets.
  • Monitor Inventory Levels and Performance Metrics: Analyze inventory levels and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Streamline Materials Control Processes: Lead efforts to improve inventory accuracy, reduce excess and obsolete inventory, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Establish and Maintain Supplier Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, negotiating favorable terms and agreements.
  • Analyze Demand Patterns and Sales Forecasts: Analyze demand patterns, sales forecasts, and production schedules to optimize inventory replenishment strategies and minimize stockouts.
  • Develop and Implement Inventory Management Policies: Create and implement inventory management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct Regular Reviews and Audits: Conduct regular reviews and audits of inventory data and transactions to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to the materials control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management: Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic initiatives and investment plans to support company growth objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials control, inventory management, or supply chain management roles.
  • Skills: Proven experience with Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes and methodologies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications: Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar credentials preferred.
