About the Opportunity: Med Staff Group is seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide specialized care for patients with infectious diseases. The ideal candidate will work 1-2 days per week, with shifts lasting approximately 8 hours. This role offers flexibility and a competitive hourly rate, with malpractice insurance provided.

The ideal candidate will work in a long-term care facility, providing comprehensive care to patients with infectious diseases. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized care for patients with infectious diseases.
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor treatment progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment, and health management.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Schedule:
  • Part-time, 1-2 days per week (8-hour shifts).

Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience in infectious disease care preferred.
  • Will consider Physician Assistants (PA) as a last resort or if they have their own collaborating physician.
  • Valid NP or PA license in the state of New York.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $80 - $90 per hour.
