Job Summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team. As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, and installing hydronic commercial piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret sketches, blueprints, and isometric drawings to plan and execute piping installations
  • Clean, bevel, and prepare pipes for installation, using various fittings and weld joints
  • Perform layout and rigging of pipes, valves, and fittings to ensure safe and efficient installation
  • Install pipes and related materials and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards
  • Inspect work sites to identify potential obstructions and plan installation sequences to avoid them
  • Cut pipes using pipe cutters, cutting torches, and pipe cutting machines
  • Thread pipes using threading machines
  • Secure pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, and hangers, utilizing hand and power tools
  • Test piping systems to ensure proper function and safety
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation
  • Maintain tools and equipment, adhering to company standards and protocols
Requirements
  • 1-5 years' experience as a pipe fitter or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to complete additional background checks
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Be available and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in varying temperatures, both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness
  • Work in areas with exposure to moderate to high noise levels
  • Be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including dust
  • Work in confined spaces or from high heights
Travel
  • May require travel
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCCER certification
  • Prior military experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
