Job Summary:
Huntsman Corporation is a leading global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated and specialty chemicals. We are seeking a skilled Category Manager, Global Benzene to join our Corporate Purchasing organization at our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the global benzene sourcing and inventory optimization strategy
* Analyze and execute intra-regional benzene opportunities and domestic spot purchases and sales
* Maintain an up-to-date view of the US and global markets
* Collaborate with the business supply chain team
* Lead regional benzene contract and spot purchase negotiations
* Manage sales of benzene to achieve working capital and EBITDA targets
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience
* Previous experience in commodity chemicals and/or chemical trading and/or Oil & Gas derivatives procurement
* Knowledge of US energy markets
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
* Previous experience in benzene commercial environments
* Familiarity with SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Power BI, and other software
