We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

• Assist surgeons in the scrub capacity, scrubbing, gowing, and gloving caregivers as needed.
• Set up tables with instruments and supplies, anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
• Assist in preparing and draping patients and operative areas, maintaining aseptic technique.
• Count instruments, sponges, and needles with a circulating RN and report correctness and discrepancies.
• Assist in applying dressings and casts, assembling instruments and equipment for decontamination.
• Assist with maintaining equipment, routine terminal cleaning, housekeeping duties, room inventory, and stocking supplies.
• Assist the surgical team as a circulator under the direction of an RN, transporting patients and preoperative preparation.
• Assume call responsibility, transitional team duties, and other tasks as assigned.

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program accredited through CCAAHEP or ABHES, or certification as a Surgical Technologist (TS-C or CST), or completion of a military surgical technology program, or state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
