ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Material Handler II plays a crucial role in the logistics process, focusing on the selection, packing, receiving, and shipping of customer orders using Power Industrial Trucks (PIT). This position involves collaboration in a team-oriented setting to enhance productivity and contribute to the distribution team's success.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Receiving and organizing inventory.
  • Picking orders based on specified instructions.
  • Ensuring timely shipment of orders.
  • Utilizing scanners to interpret barcodes on products.
  • Following on-screen prompts for task execution.
  • Identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Maintaining product quality standards.
  • Operating various power industrial trucks (PIT) for order picking, inventory management, and loading/unloading tasks.
  • Loading shipments onto trucks.
  • Upholding a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Meeting established productivity and quality benchmarks.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Exhibiting problem-solving skills and basic mathematical abilities.
  • Performing other assigned tasks as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience, preferably with RF & WMS knowledge.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts (both stand-up and sit-down), high reach, and electric pallet jacks.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Basic math and reading proficiency.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
