Dance Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dance Coach to join our team at the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Dance Coach will be responsible for leading and developing our dance programs, creating engaging and challenging lessons for students, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement dance curriculum and lesson plans that meet the needs of students at various skill levels
• Lead and instruct dance classes, workshops, and performances
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate dance into the broader curriculum
• Recruit and manage dance teams and ensembles
• Develop and maintain relationships with local dance communities and organizations

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Dance Education or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience teaching dance in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, and pedagogy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
