Principal Investigator

The Georgia Cancer Center at Augusta University is seeking a highly qualified Principal Investigator to lead a team of cancer researchers in finding innovative techniques to cure cancer. This position is crucial in helping the Cancer Center reach its goal of attaining Nation Cancer Institute (NCI) designation.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain extramural grant funding for cancer research projects.
- Contribute a strong record of publications in high-impact and peer-reviewed journals.
- Build and lead an independent research program while mentoring trainees and junior faculty.
- Engage in teaching activities and graduate school programs that are oncology-focused.
- Collaborate with other Georgia Cancer Center faculty on research and teaching endeavors.
Required Qualifications
PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent life or natural science from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years' experience in a research setting.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Academic rank, tenure status, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
