Speech Language Pathologist SLP Job Description

Celebrations Speech Group Inc. is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist SLP to join our team in the California Central Valley region. As a Speech Language Pathologist SLP, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing a caseload of students at a school location in the Ballico-Cressey area.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based therapy plans, goals, and therapeutic treatment for speech/language disorders in accordance with IEP goals.
  • Deliver Virtual Speech & Language IEP services in the Pacific Standard (PST) Timezone.
  • Evaluate and implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders.
  • Case Management for students on caseload.
  • Attend, facilitate, and write legally compliant/defensible IEPs.
  • Provide supervision for a CF or SLPA if needed or as appropriate.
  • Conduct formal assessments.
  • Attend SPED trainings as requested.
  • Collaborate and provide MTSS support to other specialists as well as GE staff.
  • Run MTSS groups for students.
  • Create and run weekly Social and Lunch Bunch groups.
  • Oversee AAC/AT needs. Train and support staff in use of AAC tools.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Current California SLP License.
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders. CFY's accepted and encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Case Management & IEP Writing.
  • Knowledge of Special Education compliance law & regulations.
  • Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of populations.
  • Exercise good judgment in prioritization - complete assigned tasks without supervision.
  • Ability to build rapport with staff.
  • Excellent written skills and efficient verbal communication at all organizational levels.
  • Positive and collaborative demeanor.
