We are seeking a skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Alleghany Highlands Community Services. This role will serve as a dual function within access and mobile crisis services, responsible for coordinating daily operations and clinical functioning of crisis intervention, access, and mobile crisis services provided to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient or inpatient clinical mental health and/or substance use treatment, as well as crisis intervention experience. A Master's Degree in clinical mental health counseling or social work is required, and licensure/certifications such as LPC or LCSW or license eligible are necessary. Completion of the DBHDS approved Certification Training Program for Preadmission Screening Evaluators is also required but can be obtained within 60 days of hire.

This position involves providing face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention to clients in need of acute mental health attention, including hospital preadmission screening to safeguard the rights and well-being of all Alleghany Highlands residents. The successful candidate will also participate in treatment team meetings with psychiatrist and other services team members, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.

In addition to these responsibilities, this role requires some travel for supervision, trainings, meetings, and back-up crisis responses. To ensure success in this role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000-$70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
