Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Automation Systems Engineer with expertise in industrial controls and automation to design, implement, and maintain complex control systems for our production equipment. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance, efficiency, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using Siemens S7-1200, S7-1500, Allen Bradley SLC500, and ControlLogix platforms
  • Program and modify Fanuc and Kuka robots, HMIs, and other control systems to meet operational requirements
  • Create, update, and install control systems for various manufacturing equipment
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks, inspections, and updates to control systems
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new control systems for production processes
  • Develop and maintain documentation of all maintenance and repairs, including updates to specifications
  • Maintain electrical schematics and diagrams to diagnose and repair control systems
  • Fabricate small parts from scratch or prints as needed
  • Support training initiatives for operational staff on control systems and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system efficiency and performance
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to control systems and processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial controls or automation within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit design
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Highly self-motivated and takes initiative with a hands-on approach
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on cross-departmental collaboration
