Job Summary

Peachtree Wellness Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Therapist to join our team. As a Primary Therapist, you will provide individual, group, and family therapy, crisis intervention services, psychoeducation presentations, and experiential learning groups for clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as process groups, psychoeducational groups, and crisis intervention services.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including case managers, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and the clinical director.
  • Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation in accordance with state, insurance, and joint commission regulations.
  • Participate in staff training and meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in counseling, social work, or psychology.
  • LPC, LAPC, or CADC (substance abuse treatment facilities only) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with addictions and mental health diagnoses.
  • Ability to utilize various counseling interventions, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Family Systems, etc.
  • Understanding of addiction and mental illness theories and models.
  • Knowledge of treatment philosophies, practices, and outcomes.
  • Understanding of relapse prevention and continuum of care.
  • Understanding of dually diagnosed populations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent in areas of gender-specific issues, diverse cultures, and client needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
