Job Summary

The Barback is a key member of the Rye Bar team, responsible for ensuring the bar area is clean and well-maintained. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service, anticipating and exceeding expectations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, adhering to White Lodging standards.
  • Assist bartenders as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings to stay informed and aligned with team goals.
  • Report any safety concerns or suspicious activity to Loss Prevention or Management.
  • Utilize Service Recovery and Defect Tracking processes to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Practice safety standards at all times, using personal protective equipment and following proper lifting procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent not required.
  • Ability to stand for more than 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be certified in sanitation and food handling, as required by the state.
  • Must complete Service Training Manual and be certified/validated within 30 days of department orientation.
