Job Description
At CoBank, our Product Managers are responsible for leading, enabling, and optimizing the experiences of both customers and associates.
Your primary objective is to ensure that our capabilities align with the overall goals of the organization and effectively meet user needs.
You will achieve this by providing leadership oversight for the governance and management of product capabilities, including the strategic evolution necessary to maintain the bank's competitiveness in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership accountability for adherence to the SAFe Agile framework and practices.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership and the Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) team to develop a roadmap that supports the bank's strategic priorities.
- Coordinate and lead related initiatives as necessary.
- Evaluate and build organizational trust in CoBank's data and systems, leveraging tools to enable future innovation.
- Accountable for delivery, optimization, product performance monitoring, and strategic direction of enterprise capabilities.
- Ensure the roadmap remains aligned with CoBank's strategic direction.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Executive Leadership and LPM to define and implement the bank's strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Identify and establish desired future state experiences and capability roadmaps.
Digital First:
Assist in delivering the bank's Digital First movement, demonstrating execution against key strategic priorities.
Objectives:
Drive product objectives with business outcomes, success metrics, and customer feedback.
Product Roadmap:
Create a strategic product roadmap outlining the development lifecycle and required controls.
Product Development:
Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure alignment with market expectations and customer needs.
User Experience:
Ensure the digital product is user-friendly and meets customer needs.
Metrics and Analytics:
Define and track expectations and success criteria through product performance analysis.
Stakeholder Management:
Manage stakeholder expectations to ensure the digital product meets business objectives.
Budget Management:
In partnership with LPM, manage the product development budget effectively.
Risk Management:
Identify and manage potential risks impacting the success of the digital product.
Vendor Management:
Work with the Vendor Management team for operational engagement with vendors.
Work Prioritization:
Oversee the evaluation and prioritization of requested changes to the product.
Optimization:
Drive the optimization of supporting sub-processes to maximize success.
Reporting:
Manage the product roadmap and reports for effective oversight.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
Work Experience:
10 years of relevant experience in financial institutions required; 6 years in product management or strategy required; 4 years in the financial services industry required.
Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership, conflict management, organizational, and time management skills.
Physical Exertion Details:
Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing.
