Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide personalized care to patients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and toileting. Ensure patients' physical and emotional needs are met, and provide emotional support and comfort.
- Medical Needs: Monitor patients' vital signs, weight, and other medical needs. Perform tasks such as sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and administering non-sterile dressings and other medical treatments as required.
- Professional Development: Maintain specialized training and certifications, and perform additional tasks as required to support patient care and meet the needs of the healthcare team.
- Education: Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with diverse patient populations, and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 75 pounds at times.
