About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for implementing speech/language pathology services and working with patients to improve their communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments of patients' communication, oral-motor integrity, cognitive status, memory, and problem-solving abilities
  • Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care in coordination with the physician
  • Administer speech therapy programs utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and equipment
  • Instruct patients, caregivers, and other health team members regarding their roles in speech therapy
  • Recommend communication devices and hearing tests as necessary
  • Prepare and submit clinical progress summary notes based on the attainment of goals
  • Perform other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech language pathology services
Requirements
  • Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology
  • Must hold a degree from an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of assignment
  • One year of prior professional Speech Language Pathology experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
