Key Responsibilities:

The Dietary Cook is tasked with ensuring that each resident receives a balanced and appetizing meal as prescribed by their healthcare provider.

  • Prepare and serve meals while adhering to portion control guidelines.
  • Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed.
  • Review daily menus and coordinate with the Food Service Supervisor on meal preparations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Document food temperatures and maintain records as required.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding meal options and dietary needs.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of large-scale cooking techniques and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and modified diets.
  • Understanding of food ordering and purchasing processes.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and management.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions.
