REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Personal Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing essential support services, including light housekeeping and errands, as determined after the initial assessment.
These services are delivered under the guidance of the Program Director and Operations Manager, adhering to the policies and practices of LifeCare Alliance.
This role involves working independently with clients while collaborating with other agency personnel. The tasks performed are of a paraprofessional nature and require confidentiality.
Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities are crucial for success in this position.
Frequent interaction with agency staff, clients, and community organizations is expected, necessitating a positive and cooperative demeanor.
This role demands a high degree of independence, sound judgment, self-motivation, and discipline to fulfill its essential functions and responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of two years of general housekeeping experience in residential, corporate, or healthcare settings is desirable. Experience in community health services with diverse and/or elderly populations is also preferred. A valid driver's license, access to a vehicle for agency-related tasks, appropriate auto insurance coverage, and a satisfactory driving record are required.
