Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drug Information Pharmacist to join our team at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Inpatient Pharmacy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Check technician-prepared products before release to ensure quality and safety
  • Maintain the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
  • Enter orders and patient information with precision and accuracy
  • Aid in the training of new staff members and provide guidance as needed
  • Update the Director on daily pharmacy activities and provide support as required
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting in the P&T Committee, Med Safety, and other relevant areas
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and order sets
  • Participate in investigational drug studies and medication safety initiatives
  • Precept and coordinate students and interns in the pharmacy
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current State of California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program
  • Experience in an acute care hospital pharmacy
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and make critical decisions
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and verbal and written communication
  • Proficiency in computer entry, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
