Job Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem-Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. This role requires strong clinical judgment, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
  • Measure lung capacity to determine impaired function.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
Requirements
  • Possess knowledge and skills necessary to provide respiratory care to patients of all ages.
  • Good clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
