Book Component Production Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Book Component Production Specialist to join our team at WORZALLA INC. This role involves setting up, operating, and tending folding machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality book components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate folding machines to produce book components
  • Review work orders and quality specifications to determine machine settings and adjustments
  • Start machines to verify set-ups and make necessary adjustments
  • Prepare and load materials
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and report and resolve issues
  • Inspect equipment and materials to identify errors or defects
  • Provide work direction to hand operators assigned to machines
  • Perform general maintenance on machines
  • Provide training on machines and provide feedback to supervisors
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive role model by living our company's core values
Requirements
  • Mechanical and math skills required
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Knowledge of arithmetic and English language to include spelling and composition rules
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and follow up to complete assignments
  • Ability to demonstrate practical and technical knowledge of the job
  • Ability to complete work and paperwork thoroughly, accurately, and neatly
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and creativity, teamwork, and adherence to company policies
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts
  • Prompt and reliable attendance required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of machine set-up and operation experience
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and physical hazards of machinery. Position requires ability to move with ease in the production area, remain in stationary position for prolonged periods, use hands and fingers constantly, and move product weighing up to 75 pounds.
