Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection prevention strategies to minimize healthcare-associated infections
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to monitor and improve infection prevention practices
  • Design and deliver educational programs to promote infection prevention awareness
  • Train and evaluate nursing staff on infection prevention protocols
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning to ensure individualized patient care

Infection Control Nurse Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in infection prevention and control
  • Nursing management experience with a focus on infection prevention
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois
  • Background check with no abuse records
  • Preferred: one year of experience in wound care and/or infection prevention
