Maître d' Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maître d' to join our team at RPM Italian - D.C. As a Maître d', you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring seamless service, and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience
    • Warmly greet and seat guests, ensuring a positive first impression
    • Anticipate and meet guests' needs, exceeding their expectations
  • Service Standards
    • Ensure accurate guest counts and wait times
    • Maintain a clean and organized dining area
  • Communication
    • Effectively communicate with guests, servers, and other staff members
    • Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements

  • Essential Functions
    • Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends
    • Safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs, and booster seats
    • Ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken direction
    • Multitask calmly and effectively
  • Physical Demands
    • Able to stand and walk for an entire shift
    • Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
