IT Director

GreenPoint Ag is seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network maintenance, management, and security, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Analyze current systems and assets to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS network/server infrastructure, including VPC, subnets, security groups, and route tables.
• Lead a team of help desk technicians, prioritize and assign tasks, and ensure prompt and effective resolution of user inquiries and technical issues.
• Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the help desk and network/server management functions.
• Collaborate with AWS support and other technology vendors to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of changes to the network/server environment, ensuring proper testing, documentation, and communication.
• Analyze network capacity requirements, monitor network traffic, and plan for scalability to ensure the network infrastructure can support growing business needs.
• Manage implementation of network monitoring tools, analyze network performance metrics, and proactively identify and resolve network performance issues.
• Implement and enforce network security best practices, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology field with increasing roles and responsibilities.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role; minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role in an IT setting.
• Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.
• Sound understanding of AWS environment, servers, networks, etc.
• Experience in controlling information technology budget.
• Solid working knowledge of current security protocols and threats.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication abilities; strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with a broad base of customers, suppliers, and sales force personnel.

The IT Manager will work in an office setting, with regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Exertion of up to 40 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Some travel may be required.
