Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms, including 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiogram procedures.
  • Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording.
  • Analyze patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.
  • Prepare preliminary reports for review and interpretation by Cardiologist, including comparison of previous studies.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities; evaluate procedure results for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain equipment in working order, making minor adjustments and repairs.
  • Communicate technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelines.
Requirements
  • Must obtain ARDMS or CCI certifications Echocardiography as required by each entity within 12 months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
