About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to join our team at OrangePeople. As a key member of our Enterprise Architecture and Project Management solutions company, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database solutions that cater to the end-to-end life cycle of information being managed.
  • Define database implementation procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Lead the design and prototyping of database solutions, guiding developers in solving complex technical problems.
  • Translate complex business processes and concepts into simple technology frameworks for developers to realize.
  • Align database solutions to enterprise standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of technology delivery experience with at least 10 years of focus in database system architecture and design.
  • Experience producing high-quality solution architecture and design documents.
  • Hands-on experience in working with popular database products like MS SQL server, Oracle, and good working knowledge of SQL.
  • Ability to socialize and communicate technical architecture and design to businesses and developers.
  • Experience in cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS) and familiarity with at least one prominent Cloud vendor (AWS preferable).
  • Experience in security aspects of data storage and retrieval.
  • Good understanding of DevOps and/or continuous deployment and/or integration processes and tools like Jenkins.
