About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to provide part-time respite care services under the supervision of our experienced team. As a Respite Care Specialist, you will work with children with disabilities, providing support with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality services. Responsibilities
  • Provide respite care services to children with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and medication administration (when required).
  • Ensure the child's safety at all times, following established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the family, program supervisor, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided, adhering to agency standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to discuss family progress, identify needs, and develop support plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with children with disabilities or in a related field.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass background checks, including FDLE clearance and Federal background screening.
