Job Title: Performance Algorithms Software and Simulations Lead

At Raytheon, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Algorithms Software and Simulations Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit, you will be responsible for leading a cross-discipline team of engineers executing all GNC, Software, Firmware, Signal Processing, Simulation, and Performance tasks to ensure delivery of the system per program plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-visibility development program with frequent technical and programmatic interactions with the customer, technical community, platform, and kill chain contractors and senior Raytheon leadership.
  • Drive IPT priorities, be accountable for cost and schedule execution, and influence the architecture of the system, establishing processes, and aligning RMD program leadership, office of the chief engineer, and multiple IPTs.
  • Manage the development and integration of software products, algorithms, and simulations to deliver a production-ready design within a challenging schedule.
  • Manage the technical and earned value performance of the PASS IPT, manage EAC for the IPT, coordinate with the program managers regarding cost, schedule, and risk and opportunity management.
  • Provide leadership to the Sub-IPTs (GNC, SP, SW, and MSA) to ensure program alignment and teamwork.
  • Interact and coordinate with customer community stakeholders, including acquisition and technical groups, to influence and guide the development of program mission requirements.
  • Provide leadership for IPT collaboration with functional partners from Engineering, Operations, Mission Assurance, Digital Technologies, and Global Supply Chain.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to all team members.
  • Apply extensive experience in task leadership and system-level design, integration, test, and verification.
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of Systems Engineering or Software Engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in missile system applications.
  • Experience managing and/or leading cross-disciplined teams in a technical capacity.
  • Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
