About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Takes diagnostic imaging exposures of patients as requested by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Explains imaging procedures to patients, reviews images to ensure accurate results, and prepares patient files and reports
- Maintains imaging equipment and examination rooms, stores images, and manages inventory of related supplies
- Prepares patient information files and submits reports on imaging procedures
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
- Completion of formal training in radiologic technology
- Radiologic Technologist License (Maryland) and Basic Life Support certification required
- Proficiency in computer software and effective interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a radiologic technologist, including on-the-job training and internships
