Environmental Technician

• Deliver exceptional housekeeping services in all assigned rooms and areas, adhering to policies and procedures.
• Complete special projects as assigned in a timely manner, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Work in fast-paced and specialized areas, such as the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Labor and Delivery.
• Clean, maintain, and restock Environmental Services equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Follow proper guidelines when cleaning discharges or project rooms, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with lead/monitor tech/nursing staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Document isolation cleanings properly, maintaining accurate records.

• A high school graduate or equivalent is preferred, but we offer on-the-job training for those without prior experience.
• Previous institutional cleaning experience is desirable, but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to read written materials are essential.
• A close attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
• This position is considered essential during emergency weather conditions, and you must be able to travel and work at different sites within Carilion.
