Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Specialist

Position Overview:
Corewell Health System is seeking a dedicated pediatric cardiac critical care physician to enhance our esteemed program. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, fellowship-trained, and board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care, with specialized training or substantial experience in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in the education of residents and fellows.
- Provide care in our specialized 15-bed Sedation Unit, conducting sedation and various procedures.
Practice Environment:
Our collaborative team comprises twenty-one critical care physicians, including seasoned and mid-career professionals, who manage a diverse array of high-acuity patients. The new physician will integrate into a busy 30-bed unit, featuring 6 dedicated cardiac critical care beds. Our cardiac surgical program performs approximately 250 surgical procedures annually and has recently achieved UNOS certification for our heart transplant initiative.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Active M.D. or D.O. license (eligible in Michigan)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification specific to SHMG within 90 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
