Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - ICU Nights will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to critically ill patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This includes administering medications, performing various medical procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and perform various medical procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals.
- Monitor and report patient status to physicians and other healthcare professionals, as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- Current additional certifications as required by department.
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
- At least 6 months critical care RN experience.
