Position Overview

This role is essential for supporting operational activities within a dynamic environment.

Under the guidance of the Site Manager and/or Task Order Manager, the Logistics Operations Supervisor is tasked with the strategic planning, management, and delegation of responsibilities to diverse operational teams necessary for executing standardized work processes across various international locations. The Supervisor is expected to exhibit outstanding leadership and management skills, particularly in fostering collaboration, building teams, developing talent, and enhancing processes.

Key Responsibilities

This job description may be updated as necessary to align with program or organizational needs.

  • Oversee the planning, management, and delegation of tasks to cross-functional teams to implement standardized operational processes across multiple international sites.
  • Ensure adherence to program processes to meet deadlines and contractual obligations.
  • Address a variety of moderate issues, escalating to senior management when necessary.
  • Identify and define program requirements, overseeing the creation of effective work processes to fulfill contractual needs.
  • Monitor operations and integrate organizational elements to maintain schedules within budget and performance criteria.
  • Verify the accuracy and completion of team assignments, reviewing personnel reports for compliance.
  • Act as the primary contact for various sites regarding operational and personnel matters, along with corporate compliance issues.
  • Supervise the mobilization and transition of personnel to meet contract requirements.
  • Manage teams of both domestic and international personnel in assigned tasks.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure optimal personnel performance and morale.
  • Serve as the operational contact in the absence of the Site Manager, representing personnel and management interests.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable reporting requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education/Certifications: One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Experience:

  • Five to eight years of managerial experience in a multi-disciplinary environment similar to that of this contract.
  • Preferred experience in military installation support or infrastructure management.

Skills:

  • Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of personnel and resources.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles, including needs assessment and quality standards.
  • Ability to apply logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Collaborative work style that promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Exhibit discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • High proficiency in MS Office and related applications.

Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities:

Assists in managing assigned personnel as required.

Working Conditions:

Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions.

Physical Requirements:

Light work involving exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. May require heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and working in environments with potential exposure to various agents.
